Father Sebastian Torres, originally from Nayarit, Mexico, was ordained a priest in 1979, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, his name was included on Archdiocese updated 2018 list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse after reports of sexual abuse that occurred between 1986-1992 surfaced.
