According to media reports, his name was included on Diocese of Scranton 2018 list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse According to the list, Vadakekottaram was not a Diocese of Scranton priest.

The Diocese of Scranton did not release any information about the allegation(s) against Vadakekottaram, including the age/gender of his victim(s) or his assignment(s) at the time of the abuse.
