Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Terry Edward Allen:

Fr. Terry Edward Allen was ordained a Josephite priest in 1961, and served in the Diocese of Shreveport. According to media reports, an allegation of abuse of a male minor in 1973 was brought to the Review Board in 2005. It was deemed credible, and Fr. Allen resigned from active ministry that year. In 2012, a settlement with victim was reached.

Information about the age of the alleged victim and the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was not provided. The list notes that the allegation of sexual abuse in 1973 against Father Allen was received in 2012.

Prior to the founding of the Diocese of Shreveport in 1986, churches in the Shreveport area were under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Alexandria-Shreveport. According to church protocol, the files of accused clergy members remain with the Diocese of Alexandria.

Fr. Allen died in 2018. His obituary notes 44 years of active ministry.
