Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Thomas Allender:

On April 30th, 2019, the Diocese of Sacramento released a list of Clergy Serving in the Diocese of Sacramento Who Have Been Credibly Accused of Sexual Misconduct with Children/Young People. One priest that was named publicly on that list was Fr. Thomas Allender.

Allender was originally ordained in the Priest of the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. The one known allegation against Allender was reported from Jesuits West Province to the Diocese of Sacramento in 2019. The allegation involved one male minor and was said to have occurred from 1970-1975 in Sacramento, CA. The accusation was deemed credible by the Jesuits West Review Board. Allender has been permanently removed from ministry by Jesuit Order.

In 2019, Allender was included on the Diocese of Phoenix list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor. He was also included on the Jesuits West Province 2020 list.

His whereabouts since leaving are unknown.
