Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Thomas Connolly:

Fr. Thomas Connolly was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1963, who served in multiple dioceses including in the Diocese of San Jose. He spent most of his career among Native Americans, for a time in WA state and for many years at Sacred Heart Coeur d’Alene mission in Desmet ID. Connolly retired in 2010 to Regis Jesuit Community at Gonzaga University in Spokane.

According to media reports, in 2011, Connolly‘s name was included on a list of Jesuits identified as perpetrators of sexual abuse. The Province agreed to make the list public as part of a bankruptcy reorganization plan. In 2018, Connolly was included on the Jesuits West Province list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. Very little is known of Connolly’s allegations as the Order has not released any information about the year the abuse was reported, nor when it took place. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Connolly’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

In 2019, Connolly was named on the Diocese of Boise list. It noted an allegation reported in 2012 that took place in the early 1980s while he was at Sacred Heart Mission in DeSmet, Idaho.

His current whereabouts are unknown.
