Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Victor Marron:

Fr. Victor Marron was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Clogher in Ireland and came to work in the United States in 1961. He is the brother of another accused abuser, Fr. Peter J. Marron. According to a 1963 letter from his personnel file, there were a number of parents’ complaints that he was overly friendly with their children, particularly their daughters. He was asked to leave the Diocese of San Diego in August 1963.

In March 2007, Marron’s name was included in the Diocese of San Diego’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. He is also included in the Diocese of Sacramento list. In October 2010, as part of a settlement with survivors of clergy sexual abuse, the Diocese of San Diego released his personnel file.

Marron died in 1979. His whereabouts, status as a priest, and whether he had access to children from approximately 1963 until his death are unknown.
