Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Vincent O’Neill:

Fr. Vincent O’Neill was ordained a priest in 1972, who served in multiple dioceses / parishes including in the Diocese of Santa Rosa. According to media reports, in 1996, three men reported to Bishop G. Patrick Ziemann that Fr. O’Neill sexually abused them when they were 13-year old altar boys in the 1970s. That same year, two more men came forward with allegations of sexual abuse by O’Neill. As a result, Fr. O’Neill resigned as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1996.

In 1997, it was reported that Fr. O’Neill had a brain tumor and had only weeks to live. He died in 1998. Fr. O’Neill is named on the Santa Rosa Diocese’s 2019 list of Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
