In 1996, Fr. William A. Lau was accused of sexually abusing a teenage boy, years prior at Blessed Trinity. He resigned from ministry and was sent to St. Luke’s Treatment Center in MD. According to the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Fr. Lau was removed from ministry and sought employment elsewhere. He is listed on the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s 2016 List of Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
