Originally from Ireland, Fr. William Storan was accused of sexually abusing a female between 18 and 25 in 1974. The allegations were reported to the Diocese of Sacramento in 2001, at which point Storan retired and had his faculties removed. He was named publicly on the Diocese of Sacramento 2019 list of priests credibly accused of child sexual abuse.
