Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Ted Russell:
Mr. Ted Russell was a lay teacher at St. Michael’s Church and School for 25 years. According to a letter sent to parents and church members in 2003 from the Diocese of Rochester, Russell left St. Michael’s in 1995 after he was accused of sexual abuse. As a result of the allegation, Russell’s teaching license was revoked by the State of New York.
The letter says that Russell, who has since died, was accused again in 2003 of abusing a second former student. According to media reports, the second allegation involved a junior-high age student at St. Michael’s who says Russell abused him in the late 1980s.
