According to media reports, in August 2019, Monsignor Edward Kazmierczak was named in a lawsuit alleging that he sexually abused a 12-year-old for about a year, beginning in 1975. His alleged victim attended St. Casimir in Kaisertown. Monsignor Kazmierczak retired in 1994 and died in June 2001.
