Summary of Abuse Allegations against Monsignor Edward Kazmierczak:

Monsignor Edward Kazmierczak was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York in 1951 by Cardinal John O’Hara, then Bishop of Buffalo. He was first appointed to the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate at St. Mary, East Arcade. He served in multiple parishes throughout his career.

According to media reports, in August 2019, he was named in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act alleging that he repeatedly sexually abused a 12-year-old for about a year, beginning in 1975. His alleged victim attended St. Casimir in Kaisertown. Monsignor Kazmierczak retired in 1994 and died in June 2001.

In 2020, Monsignor Kazmierczak was named in another lawsuit against the Diocese of Buffalo. He was accused of sexually abusing a minor. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including when and where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown.
