Monsignor George Eckl celebrated his Golden Anniversary while serving 50 years at St. Andrew’s in Rochester, NY. In 2020, Msgr. Eckl was accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a 12-year-old child while serving at his longtime church, beginning in 1951. Fr. Eckl died in 1977 at the age of 99.
