Summary of Allegations Against Father Bernard Costello:

Father Bernard Costello was ordained a priest in 1963, who served in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. According to media reports, in 2018, he was placed on administrative leave amid allegations against him claiming that he sexually abused a minor in the 1960s. No further information was provided. The diocese said the allegations were reported to law enforcement, an that this was the first allegation received against Costello.

In November 2019, the Diocese quietly announced that its internal review board determined that the allegation of sexual abuse against Costello was determined to be credible after investigation.  Costello will not be returned to ministry, according to the Diocese.

Bernard Costello is believed to be residing in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
