Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Finch:

According to media reports, in 1996, allegations that Father Joseph Finch was sexually abusive for several years beginning in 1971. These allegations were reported to the Diocese of Albany and then to Law Enforcement in 2002 and 2010.

Finch left Omaha in 1963 for military chaplaincy. In 1969, he moved to the Diocese of Phoenix. In 1992, he became the chaplain to a cloistered convent in the Diocese of Albany. He left there in early 2018.

In November 2018, Finch’s name first appeared publicly on the Diocese of Albany’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. His current whereabouts are unknown.
