According to media reports, in October 2018, Msgr. Joseph Reszkowski’s name was moved from under investigation to among those credibly accused on the Diocese of Erie list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse, who were already deceased when allegations were filed against him. No information has been released regarding the specifics of the allegations including the age/gender of the victim(s), other than the fact that the allegations were determined to be credible in October 2018, 5 years after his death in 2003. He was able to function as a priest.
