Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Brother Bill Wright:

Br. Bill Wright was named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese of Little Rock when added to its list in 2019. Wright was assigned to Holy Cross in Crossett, Arkansas from 1982-1986. According to media reports, the Diocese of Little Rock stated that Wright was confirmed by the Glenmary Home Missioners as having a credible allegation during his time in Arkansas. 

In 2019, Wright appeared on the Glenmary Home Missioners order list and was added to the Diocese of Jackson list after the Glenmary list appeared. In 1986, Wright was transferred to St. Francis of Assisi church in Aberdeen, MS in the Jackson diocese to coordinate religious education in Aberdeen, with missions in Houston and Okolona. Glenmary states that Wright also worked in the Nashville and Owensboro dioceses. 

Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, Wrights’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse, or when the abuse took place is unknown.

Wright died in 2011.
