Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother Damian Galligan:

Br. Damian Galligan, a Marist brother working in the Archdiocese of New York, was accused of sexually abusing a young boy for 5 years from 1977-1983 in New Jersey, starting when the boy was just eight years old.

In 2009, the survivor filed a lawsuit and according to media reports, Galligan confessed in a video deposition to the abuse of the survivor and other boys. A jury found in favor of the survivor and awarded him awarded $2.4 million.

As of 2013, Galligan was reportedly living in a retirement home in St. Louis, Missouri. His status as a brother and whether he has access to children are unknown.
