Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Carl Faria:

In 2019, Fr. Carl Faria was included on a list of priests in the Diocese of Monterey who was named as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Very little is known of Faria’s activities within the church as the Diocese of Monterey has not released any information about Faria’s assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Faria’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

It is only noted that there was a report received in 2002 in reference to incidents that took place from 1968-1971 and 1973-1976.

According to media reports, faculties removed him in 2002.
