Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Glenn Murray:

Father Glenn Murray was ordained a priest a priest of the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus in 1979, and served in the Diocese of Raleigh. According to media reports, in 2005, an allegation was reported to the Jesuits Province that Father Murray had “improperly touched” a male high school student in the early 1980’s in Baltimore. The Province’s internal Review Board determined that the allegation was not credible and Murray was allowed to remain in ministry.

In 2011, the Jesuits revisited the case when Murray was being considered for a new assignment. After investigation, new information showed the previous allegation to be credible. Glenn Murray was then permanently removed from ministry in June of 2011. His name appears on the Raleigh Diocese’s list of clergy accused of sexual abuse of a minor as of October 2018.

Murray’s name was added to the Maryland Province list of credibly accused priests in December 2018, and was added to the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list on July 23rd, 2019.
