Summary of Allegations Against Father Jason Dolan:
According to media reports, Father Jason Dolan pled guilty to possession of internet child pornography in 2005 at the age of 31. The Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy of Pittsburgh had revoked his duties as pastor. Both the FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police were involved in Father Dolan’s case. He could have spent 10 years in prison and been fined $250,000, but he was sentenced to only 30 months and lifetime probation in 2006. In 2008, Dolan was released on probation.
Because Dolan was a member of the Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy of Pittsburgh, he was not a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, which is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.
Dolan is still living and is believed to be residing in the Fredonia, Pennsylvania, area. He is 44 years old. He is a registered sex offender.
