Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father John Shepherd:

Fr. John Shepherd was a Jesuit priest assigned to Jesuit High Schools in California and Arizona until he left the Archdiocese in 1958.

In 2018, Fr. John Shepherd was included on the updated Jesuits West Province list named as being credibly accused of child sex abuse. Shepherd was also included on the 2018 Archdiocese of Los Angeles list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims or the nature of the alleged sexual abuse is unknown. 

It is only noted that there were reports received in 2007 and 2015 against Fr. John Shepherd in reference to abuse that took place in 1978 and the 1980s. Shepherd died in 1991.

Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father John Shepard:

Fr. John R. Shepherd, a Jesuit priest, was named in the 2018 Update to the Report to the People of God (Allegations of Sexual Misconduct by Priests Reported to Archdiocese of Los Angeles Since 2008.) According to this report, allegations were made to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 2015 that claim Fr. Shepherd sexually abused minors in the 1970s and 1980s. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including when and where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown.

Fr. Shepherd bounced around and was assigned to different Jesuit high schools in CA and AZ. Shepherd died in 1991. He was included on the Jesuits West Province list of Clergy Credibly Accused in 2018.
