Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Laurent Largente:
Fr. Laurent Largente worked in the Archdiocese of San Francisco and the Diocese of San Jose. In 2018, Largente was included on a list of priests in the Diocese of San Jose who was named as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victims or the nature of the alleged sexual abuse is unknown.
It is only noted that there was a report received in 1994 against Fr. Laurent Largente in reference to abuse that took place while Largente was assigned to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 1980-1983. Largente was removed from ministry the same year the victim came forward with the allegation and was later banned from ministry in 2002.
Largente died in 2015.
