Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Nicholas Reveles:
According to media reports, Father Nicholas Reveles worked for the San Diego diocese, but his year of ordination is unknown. In 1984, a man sued the San Diego’s bishop, Leo T. Maher and the diocese itself over his expulsion from St. Francis Seminary in Southern California. The man claimed that he had been sexually assaulted by one priest at the seminary, Father Nichola Reveles. He also claimed that he was harassed by other faculty priests as well. The lawsuit was settled out of court in April 1985 for approximately $23,000.
No further information has been released about the lawsuit or Nicholas Reveles’ assignments while working for the diocese.
