Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father Peter Allen:

According to media reports, in 2003, Father Peter Allen was mentioned in a civil lawsuit filed against Father Eugene Vollmer and the Diocese of Rockville Centre. The suit alleged that he knew or should have known that four boys were being sexually abused by Father Vollmer at the rectory of St. Joseph’s parish in Ronkonkoma.

In December 2006, Fr. Peter Allen was placed on leave from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church following the report of a credible allegation of sexual misconduct made to Suffolk County prosecutors. The report alleged that he abused a child while working at Sacred Heart Church in Cutchogue, sometime between 1990 and 2006.

Fr. Allen retired in 2011.
