Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Richard H. Roos:

Father Richard H. Roos worked as director of communications and information technology and as minister at a Massachusetts retreat center. He also served as minister of the Blessed Peter Faber Jesuit Community, where he collaborated on retreats for homeless men and celebrated Mass in prisons. 

According to media reports, in January 2019, Father Roos’ name was included on the Jesuit’s Northeast Province’s list of “USA Northeast Province Jesuits with Credible Allegations of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.” It noted that allegations of child sexual abuse of a minor in 1980s were received in 2001, and that Roos admitted the to it. No action was taken. He was “restricted” in 2001 and “impeded” in 2019.
