Fr. Robert Jeffers was ordained a Trappist priest and incardinated into the Archdiocese of New York. In 2018, a report was made to the compensation program that Fr. Jeffers sexually abused a minor boy from 1972 to 1977 when Fr. Jeffers served at St. Augustine in the Bronx, NY.

Fr. Jeffers retired in 2007 but was reportedly removed from ministry in 2018. As of 2019, Fr. Jeffers was living in Manhattan, New York. Whether he has access to children, are unknown. The canonical process is pending.

Fr. Jeffers is listed on the Archdiocese of New York’s 2019 List of Archdiocesan Clergy Credibly Accused of Sexual Abuse of a Minor or the Subject of Eligible IRCP Compensation Claims.
