Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Robert Zasacki:

According to media reports, Father Robert Zasacki worked as a priest for 13 years in Newark, but in November 1980, he was sent to Minnesota for the treatment of alcoholism. He began ministering in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and in 1987, he incardinated there.

In May 2002, Zasacki was permanently removed from the ministry after the Archdiocese of Newark received an allegation from an adult man that Father Zasacki had sexually abused him as a youth in the early 1970s, in Newark.  The Archdiocese’s internal review board determined that the allegation was credible.

In March 2008, Zasacki died.

In February 2019, Zasacki’s name appeared on the Archdiocese of Newark’s list of credibly accused priests, which indicated he was the subject of one credible allegation of abuse.
