Father Ronald Sajdak
Diocese of Buffalo
- Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Clarence, NY)
Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Ronald Sajdak:
In November of 2018, Father Ronald Sajdak was suspended from active priesthood over six months after the Diocese of Buffalo received an allegation that Sajdak has sexually abused a boy. The alleged abuse occurred over a 10-year period and started before Ronald Sajdak was ordained as a priest. The victim was ages 13 or 14 when the abuse first occurred, and he claimed that Sajdak blackmailed him with incriminating photos for almost a decade to keep him quiet. According to the Diocese, Sajdak was only a little over 2 and a half years older than the boy, and the “conduct” ended almost 15 years prior to his ordination. On recommendation of the Review Board, Sajdak was returned to active ministry in December of 2018.
