Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Stephen Emmett Speciale:

Father Stephen Emmett Speciale was a member of the Jesuit religious order. According to media reports, he has been accused by at least one person of child sexual abuse, and named in at least two civil lawsuits. The alleged abuse occurred from approximately 1985 to 1986. He was dismissed from the order in December 1989. 

One claim was settled in 1993 for $60,000. His name appeared on the 2004 Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It was also included on the Jesuits West Province list in 2018. It noted a 1991 report of child sexual abuse. His current whereabouts are unknown.
