William F Cummings’ name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Brooklyn’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors in the subsection “Diocese of Brooklyn Clergy Who Were Deceased/Or Resigned Prior to a Finding of Credibility.” The details of the allegations, including the information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Cummings’ assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

Cummings retired in 1979 and died in 1985.
