According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Father William Vita was named in a civil lawsuit alleging he sexually abused a child, from approximately 1947 to 1953. He died in 1964. His name appeared on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.
