Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father G. Stuart Hogan:

In 2018, a 71-year-old woman reported that Fr. G. Stuart Hogan sexually abused her from ages 15 to 16 in 1962-1963, while he was assigned to St. Gregory in Marion, New York.

The victim alleges that the abuse started after mass one Sunday when Hogan asked her to go back to the rectory to help count the offering.

According to media reports, the victim said her mother wrote and called the Diocese of Rochester to report the abuse, but nothing was done. The woman also said a classmate told her that Hogan had also molested her during that time period and that her reports to the Diocese were also ignored.

The time period also corresponds with Hogan’s decision to retire from the church in 1965.

Hogan died in 1985.
