Fr. Joseph R Herlihy, of the Dominican Order, was named publicly as credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor by the Dominicans St. Joseph Province on its list in late 2018. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Herlihy’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

Herlihy was also included on the Diocese of Columbus list under the section, “Extern or religious clergy who served in the Diocese of Columbus that was credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors elsewhere (alleged conduct occurred outside the Diocese of Columbus)”.

Herlihy died in 1989.
