Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Carlos Cocio:

According to a June 2002 statement from the Diocese of Tucson, Father Carlos Cocio  was suspended from ministry in 1993 after allegations of sexual misconduct with an adult were reported. Also in 1993, a parent made another allegation to the Diocese of Tucson concerning child sexual abuse that had been reported to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in 1989. The sheriff decided not to prosecute, but a report was given to church officials at that time.

According to the 2002 Catholic Directory, Father Cocio is still on leave. A 2007 article reported he is still being supported by the church. He has never been criminally convicted of the allegations against him.
