Summary of Allegations Against Father John Keegan:

Father John Keegan was ordained a priest sometime in the 1950s, who served in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. According to media reports, seven victims came forward against him in 2014. The first victim stated that when he was a boy at North Catholic High School, he and Father Keegan would meet once a month. At these meetings, Keegan would touch his genitals and masturbate him. This occurred between 1957 and 1961.

Five other victims reported being fondled by Father John Keegan between 1958 and 1959, also at North Catholic High School. One of these victims added that Father Keegan would have him read lewd “scripts” to help make Keegan erect, while another alleged that Keegan asked him if he had thoughts about males having sexual relations together.

The seventh victim reported being abused by Father John Keegan at North Catholic High School between 1956 and 1960. Keegan inappropriately touched the boy’s genital area and, because of the boy’s “masturbation habits,” said he could take a look at his penis for him.

Keegan was named publicly as accused in a priest profile in the 2018 Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report.

His current status is unknown.
