Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Larry Smith:

Fr. Larry Smith was ordained a priest in @ who served in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. According to media reports, in In August 2019, he was one of two priests named in a civil lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The lawsuit alleges that Fr. Smith and Fr. Joseph Girdis sexually abused a 12 year old boy in the 1970s. The victim was living at the Holy Family Institute in Emsworth, Pennsylvania, at the time of the alleged assault.

Smith retired in 2015. Neither priest were identified in the 2018 Grand Jury Report, and neither man appears on the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s list of accused priests.
