Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Marion Tolczyk:

Father Marion Tolczyk professed his Solemn Vows as a Franciscan Friar in 1949. He was ordained to the priesthood of the Diocese of Buffalo in 1954. He dedicated much of his career to education. Many of his ministerial assignments were in high schools and parishes where he served in multiple roles as a teacher, prefect, Vice Principal and Principal.

According to media reports, in 2019, a former St. Francis High School student in Athol Springs, NY alleged in a lawsuit filed under the New York Child Victims Act, that Father Tolczyk repeatedly sexually abused him over a period of several years in the 1960’s. Father Tolczyk was the school’s principal at the time. The alleged victim was 16-years-old when the abuse began and it continued on until he graduated in 1969.

Father Tolcyzk died at St. Vincent’s Home in Holyoke in 2013 at the age of 86.
