Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Msgr. Francis Nave:

Msgr. Francis Nave was ordained a priest in 1992, who served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Allentown. According to media reports, in June 2018, the Diocese was sued by a young man who alleged that he met Nave online through a gay social media site when he was just 16, which led to online counseling sessions. According to the lawsuit, during the sessions, Nave enticed the child to engage in masturbation while on camera with the priest.

According to the Diocese of Allentown, Nave was removed from ministry the day the lawsuit was filed and remains on leave while law enforcement investigates the allegations. The suit was settled in September 2018 for an undisclosed amount.

Nave’s name was included on Diocese of Allentown 2018 list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. The priests on this list disqualifies them from priestly ministry in the Diocese of Allentown. His name was not discussed in the August 2018 the PA Grand Jury report.

His current location is unknown.
