Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Deacon Alejandro Arroyo:

On April 30th, 2019, the Diocese of Sacramento released a list of Clergy Serving in the Diocese of Sacramento Who Have Been Credibly Accused of Sexual Misconduct with Children/ Young People. One priest that was named publicly on that list was Dn. Alejandro Arroyo.

The Diocese of Sacramento received allegations in 2012 of abuse of two girls from 1977-1983. One of the allegations had been reported to the parish in 2009, but not to the diocese. Both of the alleged victims were under the age of 14 and reported sexual abuse of touching and fondling. After the allegations were found credible by a review board, Arroyo was removed from ministry and had faculties withdrawn in 2012.

He has been listed as deceased since 2017.
