A decorated veteran and Army chaplain, Fr. Anthony Sidoti, was named in a civil lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Albany in June 2020. Sidoti was accused of sexually abusing a minor from 1970 to 1971 while serving at St. Anthony’s in Albany, NY. No information on the allegation regarding the age/gender of the victim was given.

Fr. Sidoti retired in 1990, after serving 50 years in the priesthood. He died in 2004 at the age of 89, 16 years before allegations surfaced.
