Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Cornelius O’Connor:

Fr. Cornelius O’Connor was accused in 2008 of sexually abusing an 8-year-old boy at Our Lady of the Assumption in Carmichael, California, in 1987. The victim’s parents say that when they reported it to the Diocese of Sacramento, it admitted there were other victims. O’Connor was a dean at Our Lady of the Assumption from 1968-1972, held diocesan offices from 1972-1986, and was made monsignor in 1979.
