Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Gustavo Miyares:

In 2006, Fr. Gustavo Miyares was accused, along with Rev. Pedro Jove, of abusing a 14-year-old boy, in 1981 and 1982. The abuse allegedly occurred at a Palm Beach County seminary, a Miami rectory, and a condominium in the Keys.

Miyares resigned as pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Hialeah, Florida and his faculties were removed. The abuse allegedly included oral sex and sodomy. Another man filed suit in 2006, claiming Miyares abused him for over three years when he was an altar boy at St. Timothy’s in the early 1980s. There was another lawsuit filed in 2013 accusing Miyares of abusing an altar boy in the late 1990s at Immaculate Conception School in Hialeah, Florida.

Miyares lives in North Bay Village, Florida.
