Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. John Kozon:

Fr. John Kozon was ordained to the priesthood in 1949, and served in the Diocese of Norwich. According to media reports, he was one of a dozen priests named as investigated for “allegations of substance,” in connection with a “scourge of sexual abuse of minors by clergy.” His name was included in the Diocese of Norwich’s 2019 list of clergy “credibly accused” of child sex abuse.

Very little is known of Kozon’s activities within the church as the Diocese of Norwich has not released any information about the priest’s assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Kozon’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

Kozon was removed from ministry in 2005 and died at the age of 88 in 2013.
