Father Richard Barry

Diocese of Harrisburg/Oblates of Mary Immaculate

Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Richard Barry, o.m.i.:

Father Richard Barry, an Oblate priest, was first identified on the Diocese of Harrisburg’s August 2018 list of priests accused of “indecent behavior.” The Diocese of Harrisburg did not define what it means by “indecent behavior,” nor did it provide any information about the gender/age of the victim(s), or Barry’s assignment at the time of the alleged misconduct. All it has said is that there are “multiple” allegations that he sexually abused children and that Barry was still alive when it learned of the allegations.

According to the Diocese of Harrisburg, Barry’s current location (or even whether he is still alive) is unknown.
