Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Richard Edmund Butler:

According to media reports, Father Richard Edmund Butler was ordained a priest for the religious order of Dominicans (Order of Preachers) in 1949. While in Tucson, Father Butler was also chaplain-director of Los Changuitos Feos de Tucson, a Mexican mariachi band of young men between the ages of 13-17, and travelled with them on tour throughout the United States and Mexico.

In March 2003, while reviewing personnel files, the Diocese of Tucson announced that Father Butler and other priests had been subject of credible allegations of sexual misconduct involving minors.

He died in March  1988.
