Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Richard Houck:

Father Richard Houck was ordained a priest in 1965, who served served as an assistant priest, an associate pastor, pastor and priest in residence at a series of local parishes in the Diocese of San Diego. According to media reports, in 2004, the Diocese of San Diego received a report that he molested a 10-year-old altar boy in 1977 while being assigned to the parish. When the victim reported the abuse in 2004, the diocese paid a settlement. The victim did not pursue the matter in court.

Richard Houck died in February 2002. His name appears on the San Diego Diocese’s updated list of credibly accused clergy released in September 2018.
