Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Ronald Boccieri:

In late 2019, according to media reports, a lawsuit was filed against Fr. Ronald Boccieri saying that he sexually abused a minor boy when his parents were Maryknoll lay missioners. According to the suit, the victim’s family lived near Maryknoll’s Ossining campus and ate most of their meals there. Boccieri allegedly began grooming the boy in Ossining by telling the plaintiff about his gun collection, and eventually took him up to his room to show him his guns, according to the suit.

After winning the plaintiff’s trust, he took him to a camp in the Catskills, where he taught the plaintiff and another boy how to shoot. Boccieri convinced the plaintiff to shower with him and afterward drugged the plaintiff.

Boccieri died in 2015, four years prior to the lawsuit. Boccieri had no prior accusations against him.
