Summary of Abuse Allegations against Fr. Severin Brady:

Fr. Severin Brady entered the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor in 1959. He was ordained in 1966 at the Franciscan monastery in Washington DC. After serving as an assistant for two years at St. Bonaventure in the Diocese of Paterson, Fr. Brady was named pastor in 1976.

According to media reports, in 2021, the Franciscan Friars Holy Name Province publicly named Fr. Brady on its list of friars with substantiated allegations of child sexual abuse. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims and the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was not provided by the Franciscan Province.

Fr. Severin Brady died in 2006.
