Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Thomas Denny:

In January 2019, the Northeast Jesuit Province released a list of priests accused of sexually abusing children.  Included on the list is Father Thomas Denny.

The list includes little information about the nature of the sexual misconduct, except to say that he was accused of “abuse of minors” in 2002 and 2012 for misconduct in the 1960s and 1970s.  It is unclear where Denny was assigned at the time of the alleged abuse.

His name does not appear on the Archdiocese of Newark’s list of credibly accused priests.

According to the Jesuits, Denny is restricted from ministry and is believed to be living at a Jesuit residence in Manhattan. He is approximately 80 years old.
