Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Tim Conlon:
In 2014, Father Tim Conlon was the subject of two allegations of sexual abuse. The alleged abuse took place approximately 40 years ago in North Dakota before Father Conlon was ordained as a priest.
The Diocese of Gallup removed him from ministry after the Diocese of Fargo determined that the allegations against Conlon were substantiated. No specifics have been made public about the age/gender of the victims the nature of the abuse.
After his removal, Conlon told many parishioners that he was being unfairly removed due to an incident that happened when he was a minor. It was later proved by a letter shown in court that his actions had been committed while at seminary.
Conlon’s name also appeared on the list of “Crosiers with One or More Credible Claims of Sexual Abuse of Minors,” first published in March of 2014. The Crosier Fathers and Brothers have stated that he is currently residing in Arizona.
